Dr. R.
Pavithra is an Assistant Professor in Sona College of Arts and Science, Salem.
She has ten years of teaching experience in the fields of Engineering and
Management. Her teaching expertise includes Communication Skills and
Personality Development, Verbal Skills, Technical English and English Language
Teaching.She has published a book titled
“Decoding the Subaltern Voice: A Postcolonial Reading of Mahasweta Devi’s
Select Fictional Writings” and also contributed chapters for books on various
research journals. She has published papers and articles in various
International and National journals, Inter-disciplinary Journals of English Language,
Literature and Translation Studies and also Interdisciplinary
Research Journal for Humanities. Her presentation of papers in international forum includes English
for Employment, Guidance on Students Counselling, English as a Link Language,
Multiple intelligent and so on. The author has been invited as a chief guest in leading
institutions. She has also organised and co-ordinated a seven-day
Faculty Development Programme on “Institute to Industry” sponsored by Anna
University, Coimbatore. Her area of research includes, Poems of Kabir, Anita
Desai’s writings and Postcolonial studies. The author is also a life member of
English Language Teaching in India.
