Dr. Prakash Chandra
Pradhan is a Professor of English at Banaras
Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He has published 64 research papers and
reviews in the journals and chapters in books and 17 articles. He has authored
a book on V. S. Naipaul, titled V.S.Naipaul
and Postcolonialism: Writing History, Poitics, Culture,Self and 2 books on
D. H. Lawrence, namely D.H.Lawrence’s
Novels: A Stylistic Approach and D.H.Lawrence’s Novels: A New
HistoricalApproach,translated a novella, Sibavai, by Gopinath Mohanty into English, and published a
collection of poems in Odia titled Timirara
Surya. He has successfully guided 15 Ph. D. scholars for award of degree,
and currently guiding 8 more scholars in the various fields such as New
Literatures in English, Indian Writings in English, British Literature,
American Literature, Feminist Studies, Postcolonial Studies and soon
