Shamik Dhar is a short
story writer. Academically he has received his education from India, U.S and
U.K. He is currently employed as a QA professional in a research organization.
Although he has been professionally trained as a software professional, his
passion is writing short stories. It has been twenty years since he wrote his
first short story. For him the quality of the short stories should be of
paramount importance, hence he tries revisiting each story a year after he has
actually written them. He has been influenced by famous authors like Chekov,
O'Henry, Maupassant, Ruskin Bond, Mahasweta Devi and Rabindranath Tagore.
