Malwika
is a Junior Research Fellow at the Department of English in Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi.
She is pursuing her research with the Topic- “The Select Writings of
HansdaSowvendra Shekhar and Jacintha Kerketta: An Ecocritical Perspective”. She
has presented a paper entitled “Environmental Humanities: A Powerful Tool for
RaisingConscience” in a National Conference on “Ecological Humanities: Recent
Paradigms”,organised by National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand.She
has also presented another paper in the 8th
JGU International Literary Conference (Online) on “India in the Literary
Imaginary”organized by the English Literary Society, O.P. Jindal Global University,
captioned “Ecological Consciousness in the works of Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar”.Her
areas of interest includeEcocriticism, Gender Studies and Tribal Literature.Besides,
she is also interested in giving voice to the marginalised sections of the
society which are often ignored and silenced.
