Purbasha
Mondal is an Assistant Professor of English at Saltora Netaji Centenary College
(affiliated to Bankura University), West Bengal. She has topped in B. A. (First
Class First) from Rabindra Bharati University. She has completed her M. A. from
University of Calcutta. She is a translator andpoet. She was felicitated by
Prof. Bill Ashcroft (University of New South Wales, Australia) in 2020. She has
received International Global Award 2021, Humanitarian and Peace Award,
Social Activist of the Year Award, International Women’s Day Achiever Award
2021, DR. B. R. AMBEDKAR 130TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY MEMORIES AWARD 2021etc.
She was a Plenary Speaker at the International Conference on “Racism, Nationalism
and Xenophobia” (2021) in Poland. She was a Speaker at the International
Symposium on “Memory, Accountability and Representations of the Past” (2021)
organized by Memory Studies research Cluster (UK) and South, West and Wales
Doctoral Training Partnership (University of Bristol, University of Exeter
etc.). She has delivered invited lectures at Rani Channamma University,
HarichandGuruchand University, D. B. College, Bansal Institute of Engineering
and Technology etc. She has several publications in reputed journals.She has
chaired sessions in various International Conferences in India and Poland. Her
areas of interest include Memory Studies, Australian Studies, Dalit Studies,
Translation Studies, Trauma Studies, Women’s Rights in Developing Nations and
Comparative Literature.
