IN A CORNER - Anushka Mitra (India)

IN A CORNER

-        Anushka Mitra (India)

In a corner where Time seems to have stopped

Here shall we meet.

Dancing with the wind, blended with the air,

We shall make love above the land.

In silence our whispers will be heard on leaves.

Shall smile at the lovers resting underneath.

Amongst the mist they will see us taking shape.

But we shall be beyond their reach.

Don’t be afraid dear, we were you once.

But Time was determined to have none.

Caught we were by our own despair one time.

Trusted we not each other but others.

A stormy wind in guise of spring swept us apart.

Oh Love! We failed then.

“Till death do us part” turned out to be a lie.

Now in death where my faith rests.

My wait for you breathes throughout the six skies.

With certainty in uncertain I sit

Amid old tombs and living overs who visit oft.

A place with sun and snow.

Greenest when green, drabbest during the fall.

Are you on your way too?

Drink another cup or two if you’re not ready yet.

Many talks are to be concluded.

The trust is to regain, you thinking the same too?

Live love, in death or life, because

Lose we won’t to Time. I am certain you will arrive.

The dubiety in life and after shall be gone.

In a corner where Time seems to have stopped.

Here shall we meet.
