LOST IN LOVE - James Berkowitz (U.S.A.)

LOST IN LOVE

-         James Berkowitz (U.S.A.)

The falling rain

Draws you close

As the outside world

Comes to a halt

Where building lights

Splash patterns across pavements

And the nighttime sky surrounds us

Your hand in mine

Mine in yours

A cascade of droplets

Mist the air and pond the ground

There is no telling of what will happen next

The urge to kiss you immense

It’s your birthday

And I love you

The years pass as time without keys

Opening doors to our hearts

A city silenced by fallen rain

As the earth trembles with each breath

Lost in love for a moment

We dance to the rhythm within

From the rhythm within

We dance

For a moment

Lost in love
