THE WIND SETS OUR SAIL - James Berkowitz (U.S.A.)

THE WIND SETS OUR SAIL

-         James Berkowitz (U.S.A.)

Aloft

The wind sets our sail

Into the mystic

We travel beyond the depths of human mind and thought

When a tear falls from a star

Dazzling the sky towards the ground

A gaping hole of violence and injustice across the globe

The internal compass of our being lost without sight

Striving to make sense of it all

White light flickers gallantly on the horizon

The wonder of existence shines eternal

Lens of life sharpens its focus

For our human creation to stand forthright

Poetic eye of observation

From the spiritual tower unfolds

Aloft

The wind sets our sail

Into the mystic

Collectively the fallen tear gathers and ascends from the earth

Sweeping brilliantly through the air towards the heavenly sky

Into the mystic

The wind sets our sail

Aloft

We are home
