Dr. Pratima Chaitanya
is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Modern European
Languages, University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. She has authored
books and published several articles in Journals of International Repute. She
also has two collections of poems entitled Explorations (2010) and Ritual
of Bleeding (2024) published. She also has a collected of essays entitled
Tangles of Patriarchy published in 2022. She is a theatre enthusiast and has
acted in and directed several plays. She specialises in Indian English Drama,
Contemporary Theory and Women studies. She can be reached at
