Rakshita
Vashishtha is currently pursuing her doctoral research from Banasthali
Vidyapith, Rajasthan on Construction of Identity of the Indian Jews in the
Selected Fictions of Esther David. She has done a five-year integrated course
of Master of Arts (Honours) English from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
She has been a recipient of toppers scholarship and bagged two gold medals,
both in her Graduation and Masters for securing First Class First. She has
qualified UGC Net for Lectureship (English) twice. A vivid speaker, she has
made research presentations in National and International conferences. She has
been an Assistant Professor in Gaur Brahmin Degree College, Rohtak, and teaches
students of MA English literature in the Centre for Distance and Online
Education, M. D. University, Rohtak in sessions. She has a keen interest in
exploring the deeper meaning of life through literature. Her areas of interest are
Indian writings in English, minority literature and post-colonial literature.
