THE MOTHER
-
Thahira
Beevi (India)
I had scaled the roaring ocean,
Tunneled the immeasurable highlighted mountain,
Merged inside the invisible wind,
Squeezed the bluish sky to be papered!
Everywhere the inefficiency of language amplified!
All attempts experienced only regression!
My life is pledged so none but you are my kinship,
But left unaided by metaphoric scholarship!
Gave your womb, for me to be groomed,
Shown heaven in darkness, to which fostered a fondness,
Chased out the sadness, by being my greatest wellness,
You would bear along with me, by getting yourself to be
reincarnated!
For a decennial month, during day and night She tends the
infant,
Forgets her pain, blossoming face seems to be her gain,
Allowing herself to be calmed to rear the baby fondly with
a maternal kiss,
Proves to be my healer as spends her blood to mold a life
into my growth!
Sacrificed sleep everyday to protect me like a precious
darling,
To ensure my Goodwell, she dismissed her comfort,
Let you be celebrated highly, and showered skyly,
For infusing living mantras into my breath, to lead a life
on this earth!
She weaves a fence for me to be untouched by failures,
You are a souled flower, by you I am guarded against the
prolonged psychic lower,
Ignoring the act of rest, you entirely dwindle for my sake,
Even your silent language is charged to regulate and make
me awake!
To be exponentially successful and genuinely truthful,
To soak the words in honey-flower softness,
To destroy the trap untraceably spread out of sorrow,
She would feed the language, formulated to articulate life
knowledge!
You are the finest among the living with whom I am
acquainted,
When I felt I had nobody, you reflected everybody and stood
by my side,
You are an undestroyable epic of love produced millennium
after millennium,
You are an elegantly painted picture drawn on my internal
realm!
