Born and raised in Srinagar, Kashmir Zohra Kanth is a Masters Student at Centre for English Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her research interests lie at the interfaces of Cultural Studies, Ethnomusicology, Comparative Literature, and Performance Studies. She is also a published poet, with works featured in The Youth Voice Magazine and the India Ireland Poetry Festival, among others. She has presented papers at various conferences including INMS 2024, Literature Matters symposium by The Open University UK and SPARC international Conference on Partition Studies amongst others. She also received the Summer research fellowship from the Centre for Memory Studies, IIT Madras where she worked on the epistemic intersections of music and memory. Currently she thrives on Ghazals, old songs and the comfort of chocolate paired with a good read.
