Sudipta Bag is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
English at Sarojini Naidu College for Women, Kolkata. She completed her M.A.
and M.Phil. in English from the University of Calcutta. At present she is
pursuing her Ph.D. from Presidency University, Kolkata. Her academic interests
span Language Studies, Gender and Literature, 20th Century British Drama, 19th
Century Literature, and Posthumanism. She has contributed to interdisciplinary
research and pedagogy, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and participating
in major academic conferences. Her published works include notable focus on
feminist critiques and posthumanist approaches. She has also contributed a book
chapter with Routledge titled, “Voices from the Margins: Problematizing Nation-
State's Uneasy Correspondence with Hijra- Motherhood in Arundhati Roy's The
Ministry of Utmost Happiness.” in the book Engaging
with a Nation: Representations of India in the 21st Century ,ISBN:
978-1-032-77908-9. She regularly participates in national and international
webinars and seminars. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in
college administrative duties.
