THE HOUSE IN THAT LANE

I grew
in the city
that
grew with me
in the
same time
but
different spatially.
How I
hadn’t understood
Why the
elders cried
My eyes
on the future
Not on
what I left behind.
Now I am
here after all these years
I try to
find the house
that
used to be my home.
All the
efforts are in vain
And all
I can say is that
It was a
house in that lane.
