received her bachelor’s degree in B A (Hons) History from St. Stephen’s

College, University of Delhi. She had qualified UGC NET (History). Her research
is on the journey of Malayalam under British (1800-1890) where she examines how
caste and language overlapped while giving rise to a linguistic identity in the
Princely State of Travancore. She also focusses on the similarities and
divergences of this development from the Dravidian movement. Her aim is to look
at how Travancore was transformed into an ‘affective space’ once a linguistic
identity emerged. Her publication includes a commentary on the digital archives
of India, titled, “There’s Lot in a Name: Finding the Rebel Dewan in the
Archives” (2025) in the journal Reading the Archive.
