Dr. Shaleen Kumar Singh is a distinguished academic, poet, critic, reviewer,
and translator. He serves as Professor
and Head of the Department of English at Swami Shukdevanand College,
Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Over the
years, he has made significant contributions to Indian English
poetry, literary criticism, and translation.
Dr. Singh has edited more than two dozen books on
poetry and literary studies, and his research articles have appeared in
several reputed national and international journals. His poetry
collection Proprietary Pains (Poets Printery, South Africa)
reflects his creative vision, while his edited volume From Home to
House: Writings on Kashmiri Pandits in Exile (Harper Collins India)
engages with important socio-cultural and diasporic concerns.
He is also the founder and editor of the international
peer-reviewed journal Creative Saplings, dedicated to promoting
emerging writers and artists. In addition, he is known for his insightful
cartoons that comment on contemporary social and political issues.
