Koushik Barman is currently pursuing Ph.D. in the
Department of English Literature at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University,
West Bengal. His research focuses on biomedicinal horror and disaster films,
with a broader interest in media and film Studies, popular culture, the
intersection of literature and cinema, Science Fiction, and Folk Studies. He
completed his postgraduate degree in English from Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma
University, where he also served as a guest lecturer, gaining valuable teaching
and research experience. He has given presentations at several national and
international conferences. His research papers have been published in
peer-reviewed journals and formerly UGC Care-listed journals. His work explores complex
themes of identity, governance, and cultural narratives, reflecting a deep
engagement with both contemporary and traditional forms of storytelling.
