Semanti Nandi holds an MA in English from Presidency
University, Kolkata (2017) and an M. Phil in English from the University of
Calcutta (2021). She is currently pursuing a PhD in New Woman fiction at the
Department of English, Jadavpur University, and serves as SACT 1 at South
Calcutta Girls’ College. Her publications span gender studies, trauma studies,
and nineteenth-century literature, complemented by presentations at national
and international conferences. Her research interests encompass gender studies,
feminist criticism and theory, nineteenth-century women’s writings, and trauma
studies.
