Debashis Paul is a teaching faculty (State-Aided
College Teacher) in the Department of English at Deshbandhu Mahavidyalaya,
Chittaranjan, affiliated with Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, West Bengal and
also a Research Scholar at the Central University of Sikkim, Sikkim. His
research interests include Cultural Studies, Memory Studies, Area Studies, and
Translation Studies. He has presented and published papers at international
conferences hosted by institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU),
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the English and Foreign Languages University
(EFLU), and Shri Ram Charit Bhavan, Houston, USA. His recent publications
include Intertwining Myths, Legends and Memory: The Poetic Reclamation
of Identity in Mamang Dai and Robin S. Ngangom in Margins of Memory:
Northeast Writings on Culture and Resistance, 2025; Myth and Colonial
