Downward or upward,
Glowing with colours
Spread to convey rainbow in life ;
Spread also subtle shades
Reminiscent of locomotive engines
Of the by-gone days,
Anxiety-laden telegram
When there was no scope of SMS.
Colours change
As politicians often opt for nowadays --
Sometimes striking at the core of heart,
Sometimes inciting intrusion
Of dusky subterfuges;
And it all end in an unrelenting gasping
Of an arrow-struck bird
Fighting to free itself from the body cage --
More intrinsic to realise
Than artistic to depict.....
