Unprecedented onslaught on Gaza.
Inhuman carnage
Of innocent tourists at Pahelgaon.
Crimson rays of the morning sun
Fail to shy away from the horrific sight.
Blood of numberless victims
Of either racial or religious conflicts!
Pangs of death of children
In the heart of their parents
Unaware of why
Such a fatal consequence
When humanity could make
A "Heaven of the Hell"?
O God! Where's lost
Your divine providence?
Why're you still silent
When buds in the garden fear
A devilish crush before being offered
At Your sacred altar?
Journalists with a human face
Are tortured and killed
For exposing the truth
To them -- uncomfortable
And, we, a hapless few
Searching for a helping hand:
An emblem of divine presence
Confront terrorist attacks from outside
And divisive, disruptive forces
From inside!

journalist or media worker was killed, on average every four days. In
2024, this grim statistics worsened to once every three days, most of those by
