Dr. Anwesa Chattopadhyay
is an Assistant Professor of English at the Directorate of Open and
Distance Learning, University of Kalyani. As a student of English Literature
at the Department
of English, Visva-Bharati, and beyond, she has participated
in and presented papers at several national and international conferences,
seminars and workshops. Her areas of interest include British Romantic and
Victorian Literature, Postcolonial Literature, Diaspora Studies, Translation
Studies, and Literary Works in Translation.
Apart from her contributions to academia, she nurtures a keen interest
in travelling, reading, and writing across genres. She is also a bilingual writer and translator, and has
several articles, short essays, travelogues, a book of short stories and a
translated book to her credit.
