Dr. Durbadal
Bhattacharya
is an Assistant Professor (English) in Laxmi Narain Dubey College, a
constituent unit of Babasaheb Bhimrao Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He pursued
his master's degree in English Literature from Banaras Hindu University,
Varanasi. He completed his Ph.D. degree from the same University in 2015. His
scholarly interest ranges from Post-colonial literature, partition studies,
folk literature and translation studies. He has been in the teaching profession
for past 13 years in different Universities across the country. He has contributed
modules on folk literature for M.A. (English Literature) at IGNOU. He also
has published in national and international journals. He has also contributed to
two edited volumes: “Exploring the
Unknown: A Discourse on Identity and Space in Manju Kapur’s Difficult Daughters” in Contemporary Indian
Women Novelists in English (2012) published by Swarup Book Publishers, New
Delhi and “The Politics of
