Dr. Shambhu Lal Verma, whose
pen-name is Shambhu Kushagra, is Professor of English in Purnea University. He
writes poetry and criticism, both in Hindi and English, and also translates.
Awarded by the Government of Bihar with the Rashtrabhasha Samman, his poems, critical articles, reviews and
translations have appeared in different journals and anthologies of national
and international repute, both in Hindi and English. He translated into Hindi The
Short Fiction Scenario by S. M. Eisenstein, and also some poems from
African countries. His three poems against terror and war were also included in
the Anti-Terror
and Peace IFLAC Anthology (2016), published by Ada Aharoni of
Jerusalem, Israel.
