Jessica Mehta is a post-graduate researcher at the
University of Exeter, UK. Her work addresses the intersection of eating
disorders and female poetry from 1870 - 1970 with an emphasis on Sylvia Plath,
Anne Sexton, and Marianne Moore. Mehta is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and
a multi-award-winning author and artist. She has received
several fellowships related to her research, including an Everett Helm
VIsiting Fellowship at the University of Indiana Bloomington and an Eccles
Centre Traveling Fellowship at the British Library. Mehta has also undertaken
several residencies, including at the Hosking Houses Trust in
Stratford-Upon-Avon, England and the Acequia Madre House at the Women's
