I FUME OVER MAN-MADE FUMES

I FUME OVER MAN-MADE FUMES

-       Ndaba Sibanda (Zimbabwe)

Yes, let me fume over our fumes

that have upset a natural process

carbon dioxide comes from gases--

from fumes of cars and aero planes

from the atmosphere ,human space

they say this city needs lights, energy

but at a cost? where`s the human synergy?

currently carbon dioxide has congregated

into a frightening cover over mother earth

hell is when heat is trapped like a hostage

no wonder angry & confused is mother earth!

like a goalie the ocean grasps the extra heat

and doles it out as a calm temperature checker

bravo to ocean for we`ve our  ocean of worries

alas surplus heat pushes up water temperatures

as furious& fiery waters thaw frost in icy regions

resulting in the catastrophic escalation of sea levels!
