FIFTEEN HAIKU POEMS

FIFTEEN HAIKU POEMS

-       Ram Krishna Singh (India)

sunset--

smoke and mirror

muddy path

sky’s dark patches—

I live with earth’s rhythm

liberation

new moon

rocking her world—

twin flames

creepy shadows

along the muddy road—

bright moon

verandah—

touching her naked skin

morning breeze

full moon

a frozen dot—

deaf beyond

giant wind--

sail through the cavity

in the tide

smoked fish

in the elevated hut—

honeymoon

in the wild

inner echoes—

dragonfly

red with shame

the sky at sunrise

one more kiss

travelling back

from the waves of bliss

a foam-leap

hidden between the sheets

my smothered senses—

salted honey

half of my mind on God

and the other half on sex:

eternal hunger

two lizards

inside the switchboard

turned on

the fire blazes up

from body to mind to speech

heat is what we eat
