Wind off the sea
I watch the clear bright full moon
Through a narrow strip between curtains
As clouds pass across it
Sometimes obscuring
Her face still stares
Into the twitching screen
So pale in comparison
As we eat and she’s refusing
Saying no no no
With her melancholy eyes
I could draw the curtains across
To block the stark light entering -
But cannot forget
The many questions she asks
Without ever speaking.
