INVISIBLE INK
-
Gopi Kottoor (India)
You must tell
me the secret that let you be
making
of our distance an eternity.
Tell me some
day, at least share
that secret
that lets you shred me.
Let’s come a
little closer
as we used to
be together
in a time now
far away.
So far, yet
near, so near and yet far
as we blind
our memories
and let them
beg for each other
in yesterday’s
streets.
Tell me the
secret of the fruit you ate
that made you
forget all else in its taste.
You must tell
me the secret if that is the last thing
you remember;
How well you
kept it dead,
that wrote all
that magic of you and me
in the
invisible ink of poetry.
