Anushka Mitra,
a Postgraduate in English Literature from Kolkata, India, completed her
Master’s Degree from St. Paul's Cathedral Mission College, University of
Calcutta. Her research interests include Feminism, Existentialism, Gender Studies,
Trauma Studies and Psychoanalysis. Her research article “Unveiling Gender
Constructs and Body Politics in Mahasweta Devi’s “Draupadi”” was published in
the Critical Gender Studies Journal (Vol.1, Issue 2, 2024). Beyond
academia, Anushka is a creative writer exploring themes such as the complexity
of human psychology and Feminism. Her works have been featured multiple times
in her college's literary magazine, Symphony. Her short story “Grandma’s
Cupboard” was published in the Otherwise Engaged A Literature and Arts
Journal (Vol. 13, 2024). Additionally, she volunteers with NGOs focused on
the education of underprivileged children and social welfare.
