Krishna Kuiry is a researcher and photographer based in Ranchi, Jharkhand. He
is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of English at Ranchi University
and has qualified JRF in Folk Literature. His work focuses on tribal culture,
oral traditions, and festivals of Jharkhand, with a particular interest in
ecological and indigenous knowledge systems. His dissertation explored Tusu and Sarhul festivals through an eco-critical lens. His recent short
film “Phulo,” based on child trafficking, has been praised on several
platforms.
