Amrendra Kumar Thakur is a dedicated research scholar in the
Department of English at B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He holds a
Master of Arts in English from L.N.M.U., Darbhanga, and a Postgraduate Diploma
in Translation from IGNOU. His research primarily focuses on Translation
Studies, with an emphasis on literary translation, particularly from regional
languages such as Maithili and Hindi into English. With over six years of
experience teaching English language and literature, Amrendra has established
himself as an accomplished educator and researcher. He has published two
research papers in esteemed academic journals and presented more than five
papers at prestigious national and international conferences across India. His
scholarly pursuits encompass diverse fields, including Translation Studies,
Cinema and Film Adaptation Studies, Contemporary Discourses in Hindi and
Maithili Literature, Dalit Studies, Disability Studies, and Indian Literature
in Translation. Beyond academia, Amrendra has been deeply committed to social
