Vishnu
Mishra is a distinguished scholar,
educator and poet whose work bridges English literature, Hindu mythology and
environmental humanities. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. in English at Deen Dayal
Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, his research critically examines the
ecocritical and translational nuances of Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas,
offering fresh interdisciplinary perspectives. A UGC-NET qualified academic, he
has served as an Assistant Professor at KIPM, Gorakhpur, and demonstrated
editorial leadership as Chief Editor of Shahitya Vimarsh, the
Department of English’s esteemed magazine.
An
avid researcher, Vishnu has presented papers at premier conferences, including
the International Conference on Environmental and Apocalyptic
Imagination, and published on themes such as the politics of translation
and ecological readings of sacred texts. His creative flair shines through his
published poetry in Shabd and Stanza, where
mythological motifs merge with contemporary ecological consciousness.
A
three-time gold medallist (English, Hindi, Sanskrit) at the higher secondary
level, Vishnu combines academic excellence with social commitment, regularly
volunteering to teach underprivileged students. Proficient in technologyand
holding a CCC certification, he represents a new generation of scholars adept
