Shankar
Lal Seemawat
currently serves as Assistant Professor in English, at Motilal Nehru College,
University of Delhi (DU). With a strong foundation in the field of English
language, literature, folklore and culture studies, he has earned his Master’s
degree in English from JNU, MPhil and PhD (currently pursuing) from the
Department of English, DU. He holds a strong expertise and dedication to
understanding the complexities of life, literature, culture in different
perspectives. His research interests encompassIndian Diaspora Studies, Disability Studies; Dalit Literature, Literary
Theory and Criticism, Folklore and Digital Humanities, Indian Knowledge System,
Indian English Literature etc.
Mr Seemawat’s
contributions to the field are recognized by peers and students alike, making
him a respected figure in both the academic and educational communities.
Through his continued efforts, he aims to inspire the next generation of
educators and foster a deeper appreciation for literature and culture as a
critical component of life studies. Through his deep understanding of the
subject knowledge, Mr Seemawat focused on how to effectively integrate literature
knowledge into higher educational curricula to foster critical thinking and
spatial awareness among young learners.He is also actively involved in
workshops and seminars (both National and International), sharing his insights
on innovative teaching methods and the importance of literature in
understanding critical global issues.
