Dr.
Himakshi Kalita has done her MA in English from
Tezpur (Central) University, Assam, and PhD from Gauhati University, Assam,
India. She did her PhD on “Quest for Identity as Represented in Fictional
Writings from Northeast India.” She is
Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Mahapurusha Srimanta
Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, Assam, India. She has published research in
national and international journals and as book chapters, and presented papers
in international and national seminars and conferences. Her research focuses on
Indian Writing in English, women writings, cinema, writings from Northeast
India, and ethnicity and identity in Northeast India.
