Dr.
Sana Farooqui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at The
Bhopal School of Social Sciences, Bhopal, India, with over eleven years of
teaching experience in higher education. She holds a Ph.D. in English
Literature from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, and was a university topper in
her M.A. English programme. Her areas of academic interest include Postcolonial
Studies, Ecocriticism, Feminism, Literary Theory, Indian Writing in English,
and Communication Studies. She has published research articles in UGC
CARE–listed journals and has contributed chapters to edited volumes on
literature, pedagogy, and interdisciplinary studies. Dr. Farooqui has presented
papers at several national and international conferences and currently has a
Scopus-indexed publication in the pipeline. At her institution, she serves as
NAAC Criteria 1 In-Charge and is a member of the Board of Studies. She is also
actively involved in Cambridge English programmes, outcome-based education
initiatives, and faculty development activities. Her ongoing research engages
with environmental humanities, colonial legacies, and indigenous knowledge
systems in literature.
