Bidisha Biswas is a part-time PhD
researcher in English Literature at Amity University Kolkata. Her research
focuses on queer studies, trauma theory, and memory studies, with particular
emphasis on LGBTQIA+ representation in Hindi and Bengali cinema and web series.
She engages with theoretical frameworks developed by Judith Butler, Ann
Cvetkovich, and Ilan Meyer. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor
(Stage II) in the Department of English at Muralidhar Girls’ College. Her
papers have been published in journals such as The Asiatic Society of
Mumbai, Das Literarisch, and Educational Administration: Theory and Practice.
