Chandrama Basu completed her doctoral research on “Beyond
Sensationalism: Alternate Readings of Yellowbacks from 1850s to 1890s” from the
English Department of Presidency University, Kolkata, India, in 2025. She is a
faculty member of the Department of English, Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis Mahavidyalaya,
Kolkata, India. Her research articles have been published in various national and international journals and as book chapters,
and some others are pending to be published in reputed international journals
and by academic publishers. Her research interests centre on Victorian culture,
women’s studies, and popular culture.
