Afjal Hossain is a State Aided College Teacher in
the Department of Arabic, Samsi College under the University of Gour Banga,
serving since 30 November 2012. He completed his B.A. from Samsi College in
2008 and his M.A. in Arabic from Patna University in 2011. With over a decade
of teaching experience, he specializes in Arabic language, literature, and
Islamic studies. His research interests focus on the influence of Arabic on
regional dialects, particularly the Shershabadia language of Bengal, and the relationship
between language, culture, and identity. He resides in Talbangrua, Malda, West
Bengal, and is actively engaged in academic and research activities related to
Arabic and socio-cultural studies.
