LIMINALITY
-
Carl
Scharwath (USA)
We stand at a threshold of what might be spoken,
Threads of possibly trembling in our hands.
The past is merely prologue whispered in shadows;
The future, a blank scroll awaiting its first brave word.
One day, a voice–perhaps ours–will break the silence,
Defying the indifferent stars and the story
Long gathering in secret will finally begin–
A testament to our solitary, shared rebellion.
Yet in this exile, a strange freedom unfurls:
Unmoored from the anchors of the ordinary,
We drift toward the horizon where the self
meets itself at last == unrecognizable yet wholly known.
