Salim Nisar Shaikh (Author) Creative Flight Journal

 


Salim Nisar Shaikh is an Assistant Professor of English at Agasti Arts, Commerce, and Dadasaheb Rupwate Science College, Akole, with ten years of experience in advanced pedagogy, curriculum design, and interdisciplinary literary research. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in English (thesis submitted) at Savitribai Phule Pune University, specializing in film studies, adaptation theory, and the intersections of horror literature with visual media.

He has published 2 books and seventeen peer‑reviewed research papers in UGC‑CARE‑listed and international journals, including Literary Enigma, International Journal of English Literature and Social Sciences, and RESEARCH JOURNEY. He has presented his work at international conferences hosted by the University of Graz (Austria), Cambridge University Press & Assessment (UK), and the International Society for Educational Leadership (USA, Australia, and India). He is the recipient of the Dr. Avinash Shelke Smriti Award and has been recognized among the Top 200 Hall of Fame Writers by the Inkfetish Indian Writers League.

Beyond academia, Shaikh is an accomplished short‑fiction writer, with his stories appearing in anthologies by reputed presses. An active member of the English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI), he bridges literary theory, multilingual pedagogy, and genre fiction, advocating for the global study of horror as a culturally significant narrative form.
