A ROCKER-POET
-
Guan Yu (China)
Roofs confronts the inky sky. In June’s
embrace
Rest plants on red bricks forming living
space
Where a musing rocker-poet joins
In balcony-figures hanging in there
Bath towel, work shirts, sleepwear
"Taken from my body, thou shalt meet thy
doom
And then become one Body, which I must
reclaim
For no longer shall I be lame, once I touch
Thy rim"
(Translated by Zhu Yage)
