Shivani is a PhD research scholar at the Department of English and
Modern European Languages in the University of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She is
currently working on Urban Realism and Urban Studies in her doctoral research.
Her research focus dives into the fictional works of Aravind Adiga. She
basically belongs to Meerut and pursued her Master in English Literature from
Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She has authored
a chapter focusing on “Female Subalternity” in an edited book Gender and
Culture, ISBN: 978-93-93092-56-4. Her research article based on “Reading Class,
status, and Power” is published in an Interdisciplinary Quarterly Review
Journal, The Original Source ISSN:2319-6297, vol,7, no.26. Her area of
interests covers Urban, and Gender studies in Indian English Fiction. She has
presented several papers in many Conferences and e-conferences. She is
currently residing in Lucknow.
