PRELUDE

PART 1
I a buddhist monk, an
ascetic disciple,
Walking by the dead foliage
and withered leaves,
Watching the idleness of
the lumbering tram,
A yellow city cab lurched
boisterously,
The wakefulness on the
street, bustling with hitchhikers and passersby.
One's iniquities and vices,
with low intelligence,
Intertwined within the
snare of the falsity of the materialistic world,
Men without wits and
reasons–
The ignorance entrenched in
the minds with obstinancy,
Chained in servility, the
people striving tirelessly–
I made a boisterous appeal
– ‘wake up!!’
Embark on the untrodden
path of self realization.
PART 2
The radiance of the blazing
sun on my face,
Fills the deepest corners
of my heart with light,
A vast stretched ocean of
knowledge–
Where waves of conscience
and wisdom,
Repels and reverberates
under the submerged rocks,
The muddy ebb and flow of
music,
Absorbs my mystic mind in
eternal bliss.
Beneath the drab grey
melting clouds,
The rain drops shimmering,
Pouring down profuse
benisons of love,
Embellishes my soul with
ecstacy.
I a buddhist monk, an
ascetic disciple,
Through a lifetime of
austerities–
Seeks solace in
renunciation.
